Yumeji’s breakfast menu is drawn from a variety of Japanese and Australian classics.

Japanese dishes tend to be savoury, soy sauce and fish stock based flavours but some things can have a touch of sweetness. Rice and miso soup is always served in a traditional breakfast and side dishes will vary according to the season etc. Usually there is some kind of grilled fish, in winter maybe a hotpot and in summer perhaps cold noodles. In total, about 4-5 side dishes will be served.

The ‘Australian’ breakfast will vary day to day but we won’t be serving the standard bacon and eggs etc. Seeing as your stay at Yumeji is a ‘break from the norm’, we like to prepare dishes that you don’t generally eat every day and thus make it a little bit special. You may serve yourself from the buffet presented daily in the breakfast room.

There is always coffee and a selection of teas on offer.

Breakfast is between the hours of 8:00am and 10:00am and will be served at the Irori (Japanese sunken table). For those guest who would prefer a more private affair, we have separate tables and chairs in the adjoining dining room for you to use.

A vegetarian option, gluten free option and dairy free option may be provided but by prior arrangement ONLY (and subject to availability). Please reaffirm your dietary requirements with your hosts upon arrival.
